I am driven by projects. I always seem to have something in the works and 5 more brewing in my head. I feel like I have dappled in almost every area of the arts and crafting. Perhaps it is my time to let go and be creative, I don't know. The problem is I suffer from mild crafting ADD. So unless I hurry and finish something, it will never be finished and I will move on to something else. Greg can attest to that. One small problem is that we live in a 900 square foot apartment, so two things on the floor make the whole place look cluttered. Some day I will have an entire room dedicated to crafting. I typically make some thing because I want to give it away or because I'm dissatisfied with something in my house. I know this post may seem very "look-at-me look-at-me" but whatever, look at me. As someone who rarely finishes projects, I feel that since moving to Tucson I have turned a new leaf and have something to show for it. Also, I was on the phone with April today and she kind of told me to do it.
(These are just a few of my projects as some are still pending as gifts :))
Quilt- I took this project on last summer while Greg moved to Phoenix for a summer internship. It was my first attempt actually following a pattern. No one tells you how hard quilting all three layers together really is.

Dollhouse- I saw a version of this online and really wanted to make it. Christmas was coming up so I decided to make it for my niece Sofie. Here is the "how-to" if you ever want to try it yourself. Oh, and this may be the last time I ever try to make dolls this little again.
Sofie is a bit of a sassy thing, so I thought black and white polka dots with hot pink really suited her.

Stars meet Mr. Elephante- The last two things I actually have a photo of, I put in the nursery. There isn't really a lot you can do in an apartment to make a room fun, so I learned I had to be a bit creative. I had found some tacky gold stars from a garage sale for about 10 cents a piece and put some paint on them and hung them with lights.
I really wanted something to hang above the changing table, but I've learned that most baby art is either expensive or a little too cliche. My solution, I took an old frame and did some quick drawing, cutting and appliqueing to get what I wanted. Good times in the Taylor home.

Well that is all I have for today. I need to catch a plane.
