Unless you are a one of my sisters, or know any of them, you may not enjoy this post.
While home in Spokane Greg and I spent a lot of time sorting, organizing, de-junking and Craigslisting stuff from my parents basement. While these tasks seemed grueling at times, it was all worth it when I stumbled on a few "family gems" as I would like to call them, while sorting through everything. A big thanks to my sisters for making this post possible.
Exhibit A
I will begin with my lovely sister Molly, the youngest and apparently most in-tune sister. This drawing was crafted by Molly at the young age of....let's say 6?? I'm not totally sure of her age, but I think it looks like a 6-year olds art work. Clearly she is depicted as being in love on a sunny day, in the shade of a tree. What is so interesting about this find, is that the young man she is in love with in the drawing, holds a striking resemblance to her husband Wayne. I suppose she has always had a thing for dark-haired men. And purple jumpsuits.
Exhibit B
Next we have my sister Abby, the second youngest. This find was written by Abby at age 12. I feel that 12 is an interesting point of life. An awkward time. No longer a child, and not an adult, not even a teen...Regardless, she wanted others to know of her hopes and dreams, specifically the Mickey Mouse Club.
Love how she spelled "femail"
Exhibit C
Last but not least we have my older sister Natalie- You may remember her from this timeless clip where she is shown taking charge on stage. This letter is a lovely diddy that was fortunately never mailed to the intended, and instead, posted to the blogging world for our viewing pleasure. I do so love the mind of the pre-teen, the term "boy crazy" comes to mind.
HOLD THE PRESSES!!!
So, life was good after the sorting was done. I had a few good laughs and relived some great memories. Thanks Sis's, I love you all. Miss you.
